Prompt #39: taste
Word count: 117
If someone had asked Zechs Merquise what it was about Duo that kept them together, he would have said it all came down to taste. Not the kind that helps you pick one outfit over the other or justifies your choice in music. Taste, like warm butter melting on your tongue or chocolate syrup licked from the spoon.
When Duo's disorganized ways and chaotic spontaneity would grate on the former prince's nerves (and render months of meticulous planning useless), it would take only a kiss, the taste of Duo's lips upon his, to remind him why they were together. He'd still be annoyed and intent on getting his way, but the anger would fade, and discussions could resume.
Duo, of course, blamed his good looks and charming personality.
